The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) was established
according to the policy of the Graduate School of Commerce that states Burapha
University is to provide the community with opportunities to study in higher
education and to achieve academic excellence.
Rationale
After the recent economic crisis in Thailand,
there is a strong need for business leaders, scholars, and researchers who have
good background and experience in business management in order to improve
Thailand’s international competitiveness. These leaders should have far
reaching vision both locally and internationally, in order to manage efficiently
and achieve their objectives.
To facilitate the national development, a
higher level of advanced knowledge in business administration is required in
addition to the production of capable academicians, researchers and business
managers who can develop practical knowledge in both private and public
organization. In addition, these new program aims to enhance their
administration standard as well as theoretical ability. As such, it deems
appropriate for the Graduate School of Commerce at Burapha University to
establish a Doctor of Business Administration program.
5. Objectives
5.1 Objectives of the Research Program (Dissertation) and the Study
Program (Coursework)
5.1.1 To produce doctorates excellent in
business administration studies, proficient in business administration theories,
and capable of applying the practical knowledge to real world situations.
5.1.2 To produce
doctorates equipped with good leadership ethics required of all academicians and
business administrators.
